December was full of exciting fun experiences as we waited for Santa to come and visit. The children enjoyed writing letters to Santa, putting up their own Christmas tree, our weekly French and Dance class, baking, designing our Christmas bags to take home all our of our Christmas activities they had made as well as singing at our annual Christmas Carol Concert and Christmas party. Lots of fun!
St Andrews Day
What fun the boys, girls, parents, grandparents and staff had at our annual celebration St Andrews Day Ceilidh 2017, the children have been very busy practicing The Gay Gordon dance and rehearsing for their singalong to Three Craw's sat apon a waw!
Halloween Spook-tacular fun party, the children enjoyed dressing up, fun Halloween French lesson with Ms Annie and some frogs, Zombie statues, Graveyard bumps, Pin it on the pumpkin, Wrap the Mummy and bobbing for apples, followed by delicious trick or treats!
October 2017 - Diwali
The children were learning about world religions and the story of Diwali, the children made their own lanterns, as Diwali is the Hindu festival of light, they also enjoyed visiting the local Hindu Temple to see the gods from the story.
September 2017 - Children's Wood
We enjoyed exploring the Children's Wood, at Kelvinmeadows. We investigated the pipes, to roll balls. We made witch's brew with water, mud, and berries, and we enjoyed swinging and balancing on the tire swing!
September 2017 - Campfire fun!
The boys and girls were very safe when making their own fire! We used; sticks, cotton wool, and Vaseline. Everyone was very safe and knew to stay a safe distance away. We even enjoyed some lovely, toasted marshmallows!
September 2017 - Fred Paton Care Centre
Visiting the elderly at their day centre was lovely. The children introduced themselves, and were very polite. Some of the ladies joined in with the parachute game, as well as singing lots of songs. Everyone enjoyed themselves!
August 2017 - RSPB Visit
We were very lucky to have a visit from some RSPB volunteers. They read us a story about where mini beasts live, and then we went to the park to discover some mini beasts. We found a tiny snail, bees, butterflies, and we did a rain dance to find some worms - and it worked!
