Somerset Nursery is a well established, family run children's nursery which has been operating for over three decades in Glasgow's City Centre and West End.

The children of Somerset Nursery have close links with the local community and often visit local places such as the Mitchell library, Kelvingrove Art Galleries and the local parks where they develop their gross motor skills, social skills and are able to explore their environment. Our children are natural nature detectives and show high levels of engagement when we; make bird feeders, go on mini beast hunts, plant seasonal vegetables in our garden, go on nature detective walks and build dens!
We operate an open-door policy in addition to offering two parent meetings per year which allows parents to have in-depth conversations with their child’s key worker to discuss their learning and development.
Our Learning Journal system allows us to record children’s development in their own unique profile which parents can interact with by adding photographs, events happening at home and milestone occasions.
